The Reality service at St.Paul's is for everyone in year 10-13. We meet at 6:30pm,
and finish at 8:00pm. Our worship service runs in tandem with the main evening church
service. The format is far more 'interactive' than a typical adult service. Youth-led
band worship often begins and ends the session. In between there are group and individual
prayers, testimonies and a talky-bit. Holy Communion, administered by the Vicar,
is offered on a monthly basis. There is no set format for Reality services - in
the past we have had guest speakers, solo musicians, alternative venues and a fair
trade presentation and quiz (with lots of nice food!). There are also a number of
social events organised during the term, and a couple of trips away during the year.
What is evident on each occasion, however, is the passion and conviction shown by
the young people for their Saviour.
After the evening Reality service we move upstairs to the Clubroom for "After 8's"
where we chill together, play games and eat toast. There are peer-led midweek groups
for going deeper in our faith. A Reality prayer meeting meets every Monday during
term time in the clubroom on Monday evenings from 7pm-8:30pm, and Cell groups meet
at various times and locations on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
Please do come and join us. We are a friendly group and are always keen to welcome
new people! Contact our Youth Minister, Beckey Barton for more info.
